Finance Assistant
Origin Fitness are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our vibrant and growing company who believes in our company vision and values. Working in a small team of 3 you will report directly to the Finance Manager and be integral to the team in ensuring the maintenance of accurate financial records by managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Reports to: Finance Manager
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience
Contract Type: Permanent

The Finance team play a critical role in achieving our business objectives, by ensuring we accurately & timeously account for the company’s income and expenses to manage the flow of money so the business can run successfully.
Responsibilities
- Processing Purchase and Sales invoices accurately
- Reconcile bank and GL accounts
- General finance and credit control assistance
- Supplier statement reconciliations and payments
- Update and maintain accounts database
- Answering calls from customers and suppliers as well as dealing with general enquiries
- Process mileage, credit card and expense claims
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts/month end procedures
- Support to Finance Manager as required
- Opportunity to be part of the Staff Engagement team
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar finance accounting role
- Excellent administrative skills
- Be highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- MS office applications
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a small team
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Xero
- Experience of Sales Force/CRM software
- AAT qualified or equivalent
