Student Roost - Brewer's Court

The new Student Roost site, Brewer’s Court installed in February 2021 offers residents the next-level student experience. Student Roost began working with Key Account Manager, Hannah Cameron at the end of 2019 aiming to create the best student experience and living in the heart of Edinburgh, Calton Road.

The Goal

Many students choosing to live at Student Roost are those who are experiencing the city for the first time so providing a comfortable and safe environment is incredibly important.

Honing in on popular trends and equipment for students, we created a dedicated area that goes the extra mile for residents.

.A dedicated free weights zone was installed to meet the growing demand for strength training. This included the Gym Division Half Rack, Origin Rubber Crumb Bumper Plates , Origin 20kg Men’s Olympic Weightlifting Bar and Origin Multi Adjustable Bench to create the perfect strength zone.

It is important to ensure the flooring and equipment are well protected. Hannah chose to install Origin 20mm Premium Flooring Tiles , a great affordable option for high volume areas where individual tiles can be replaced if needed. In addition to absorbing impact of free weights or equipment falling to the gym floor, Origin 20mm Premium Flooring Tile absorbs vibration to minimise noise created when the equipment falls to the gym floor. This flooring option is an ideal choice for a campus with many students living in the same building.

To make the most of the floor space available, Hannah chose a custom modular storage rig to house the range of function accessories. This made it easy to keep the gym neat and safe from trip hazards when it was not in use. The Origin rig options, particularly within our Elite and Performance ranges can be tailored to fit any space and offer a variety of training options from group training to solo workout stations.

Students have more options than ever when it comes to picking a place to live whilst studying in the city and gyms are becoming the must-have for student accommodation sites.

Installing a gym within the Student Roost site in Edinburgh has not only given occupants extra value to their stay, but it also has enhanced their living experience within the building. Student Roost is now an ideal place to work out, stretch and relax.

We are excited to be working with Student Roost to enhance their facilities this year. Student Roost plan to add another five locations around the UK which offer it is occupants this little bit home from home.
