THE CHALLENGE:

Getting this school gym in tip-top condition before the start of term was paramount for Dollar Academy. The schools Head of Athletic Development, Stevie Wilson worked alongside Account Manager, Declan to upgrade the existing space.

Stevie noticed a growing demand for a facility which could accommodate a number of students and staff. From students competing at international levels to those that just want to learn how to train and lead a healthy lifestyle, the gym needed to be suitable for all styles of training.

THE SOLUTION:

Declan was a great asset to this project, he was able to pull together quotes and designs at short notice from the early stages all the way through to the final touches. His experience and advice on a project like this was invaluable.

Declan advised Dollar Academy on the equipment that would suit the needs of the facility. Multiple Performance Series Half Racks formed the base of the gym which offered versatile training stations for the students. Within the racks, you can work out your whole body which is why half racks are a great space saving solution. A variety of Olympic and specialist bars were thoughtfully chosen to give students a large amount of training options.

THE OUTCOME:

Dollar Academy now has a facility which is ideal for both high performing sports pupils and teams. It is also a great learning space for younger or less experienced pupils who maybe stepping into a gym environment for the first time.

Everyone has been extremely positive in regards to feedback to the new space – it has exceeded expectations and become a real selling point for the school. The quality of the equipment not only looks and feels amazing but most importantly performs second to none, knowing the Origin brand we know it will last for years to come.

And to top it off… this was just the start for Dollar Academy. This install was part-one of a two-phase plan to create the best school based athletic development facility in Scotland:
