THE CHALLENGE:
NAMIX Performance Centre, co-owned by Charlotte and Chris, set out to expand and enhance their gym to meet the growing needs of their members.
Located in Northwich, Cheshire, the gym needed to upgrade its gym equipment and facilities to offer a broader range of services, particularly focusing on strength and conditioning.
The goal was to create a versatile and high-quality workout environment catering to individual training and group sessions while maintaining the gym's unique identity.
In a competitive market, NAMIX aimed to stand out by delivering a top-tier fitness experience with gym equipment that not only met the technical demands of their members but also aligned with the gym's brand and vision.
THE SOLUTION:
To achieve their vision, NAMIX partnered with Origin Fitness, the UK’s leading fitness equipment supplier. The collaboration began with an in-depth consultation where Origin took the time to understand the gym’s specific needs and goals. This personal approach was crucial, as Charlotte noted:
Tom [from Origin] really bought into what we were about and understood who we were as a gym and business.

Gym Equipment
To create a versatile strength and conditioning zone a range of gym equipment was installed at NAMIX allowing members to maximise training. One of the most requested pieces of equipment was the two-bay Performance Series Half Rack POD 2.0.
It's the perfect solution for busy facilities. In this configuration, the middle storage features various shelving solutions that keep additional equipment close by including kettlebells, sandbags, and a bottom toast rack providing the perfect storage solution for bumper plates.
Additional strength machines were installed in the site including an Origin Smith Machine complete with Origin Urethane Olympic Weight Discs and a Dual Adjustable Pulley, both proving popular with members.
Free Weights
NAMIX also boast a wide range of free weights including Gym Division Hex Dumbbells neatly stored on a 12 Pair Hex Dumbbell Rack with Origin Performance Multi Adjustable Weight Benches close by.
Cardio Equipment
The vision in this space was to make it functional offering group training sessions, which is why Charlotte and Chris also picked out a few bits of cardio equipment to add to the site like the Origin Storm Air Bikes as they are well suited to high-intensity training sessions.
Hyrox-style equipment was also added including Concept 2 Rowing Machines and Origin Ski Ergs, which were built close to a wall-mounted bay to keep the intensity high during busy classes.
The new equipment is primarily used in NAMIX’s revamped strength and conditioning studio, where it plays a key role in conditioning sessions and warm-ups for strength-based classes.
Namix also invested in new gym flooring with 20mm Premium Gym Flooring Tiles being specifically chosen for its high impact resistance and comfort, particularly for Pilates classes.
We've had positive feedback from members on how much more comfortable the new gym flooring is for people, especially in the Pilates classes.

In addition to the gym flooring, NAMIX installed a new sprint track. This track, customised in the gym's brand colours, has received excellent feedback from members, especially those training for high-intensity events like HYROX.
Upgrading from their previous one the quality of the track and flooring was highlighted as far superior to their previous installations, enhancing the overall training experience for members.
Community Focussed
Not only did NAMIX want to offer its members the best equipment they also wanted to create a supportive community for anyone who visits.
NAMIX offers a wide range of amenities onsite including specialist sports injury treatments and features small touches that make them stand out in the area like seating upstairs which is perfect for relaxing after a tough training session.

Working closely with NAMIX throughout this process, Charlotte and Chris were particularly impressed with the level of service and commitment they received from Origin Fitness.
Tom was the first person we picked up the phone to, and we ended up having about an hour phone call about the gym design.
