The challenge:
As part of their newly refurbished office environment, CALA Homes East wanted to add a first-class workplace gym for staff. The aim was to provide a full range of both targeted and general workout options to support health and wellbeing across the team.
The gym needed to offer something for everyone, regardless of fitness level, while also being a standout feature of the new office space. It was intended not just as a benefit for employees, but as a highlight when visitors were shown around the building.
The solution:
The cardio zone includes an Impulse RT700 Treadmill, Origin Storm Rower, and a Peloton Bike with a commercial subscription to give staff access to interactive classes and guided training.
For strength and conditioning, an Origin Performance Series Half Rack was paired with an adjustable pulley system, a range of Olympic barbells, bumper plates, and a large selection of UD3 Urethane Dumbbells. Functional kit such as competition kettlebells, medicine balls, sandbags, power bands, and balance balls ensures there are training options for every style and ability.
Two adjustable benches, mats, and recovery tools complete the setup, while 20mm Premium Galaxy Slate Tiles and ramped edges provide a safe, professional-looking floor that can handle high use.
Archie remained a regular point of contact throughout, checking on deliveries, following up on equipment performance, and ensuring the installation process ran smoothly from start to finish.
The outcome:
Since opening, the gym has been a highlight for CALA employees and visitors to the new office. Staff feedback has been consistently positive, especially on the variety and quality of the equipment.
The result is a modern, versatile office gym that has become a valued part of workplace culture, giving employees a convenient space to train, boost energy, and look after their wellbeing.
