The challenge:
When Will Mason decided to open his own private training facility in 2020, he knew what he wanted: a premium, focused environment that could serve a wide range of clients and training styles within a space that wasn't unlimited. Getting that balance right - enough equipment to be genuinely versatile, laid out in a way that never felt cluttered - was the central challenge.
As a personal trainer, Will also needed the layout to support his business model. The studio had to work for one-to-one sessions, but also be flexible enough to accommodate group classes where multiple clients could train simultaneously without getting in each other's way. The difference between a layout that worked and one that didn't would have a direct impact on how many clients he could take on and how the business could grow.
The solution:
Ryan Nicholls at Origin worked closely with Will from the outset, starting with a proper understanding of the studio, the clients, and the training environment Will was trying to create. What followed was a collaborative design process that gave Will something most PTs don't get when opening a new space: the ability to see exactly what it would look like before a single piece of equipment was delivered.
The finished space matched the render closely, and the layout delivered exactly what Will needed: a studio where multiple clients can use different pieces of equipment or different areas simultaneously, without disrupting each other's sessions. That flexibility has been central to how the business has grown since opening.
Origin managed the full delivery and installation, with equipment and flooring arriving promptly and the studio set up and ready to go from day one.
