While refurbishing their Bristol head office, Origin Workspace worked with Origin Fitness' Account Manager Greg Walker to turn an old archive into a modern, flexible fitness studio, serving staff and clientele in a variety of fitness needs.

Objective

It was the vision of our CEO to promote wellness throughout the office, and the gym studio plays a big part in that.

It was important to us that the space was built with flexibility in mind, catering to both individuals and their training as well as larger groups working towards common fitness goals. Rob Hingston - Managing Director, Origin Workspace

The refurbishment of our old offices provided the perfect opportunity to create this new space. We are never looking to pressurise people into exercising, but rather we want to remove as many barriers as possible that might prevent them from leading an active lifestyle.

The space was well thought out: as you walk in, you're free to jump on a bike or treadmill, or whatever cardio you'd like to do, without having to walk through a class that might be going on simultaneously. We worked really closely with Greg to keep the space flexible and versatile.

Origin Fitness allowed us to trial the Intenza Fitness range for our cardio zone. We're glad we ended up going for it; the range is robust, really intuitive and interactive in the ways it connects the screen to your phone. It ticks a lot of boxes for us.

One of the best pieces of feedback we've received is that the finished gym space looks exaclty like the CGI visuals Greg created for us. Both the videos and pictures we received were incredibly accurate, which means Origin Fitness have delivered what they sold to us.

We have huge variety in the fitness levels training in this space, from IRONMAN athletes to yoga novices, and each of them have found it suits their training needs perfectly. If we did another Origin Workspace, in Bristol or in another city, we would not hesitate to use Origin Fitness again.
