Leisure at Cheltenham Case Study

WHO: Leisure at Cheltenham

WHERE: Cheltenham, England

TYPE: Local Authority

ACCOUNT MANAGER: Tom Alder

THE CHALLENGE:

Cheltenham Leisure offers various activities and on-site facilities to support the local community. The new gym has officially opened, featuring spacious open areas and the latest fitness equipment, enabling the site to support everyone's fitness goals in 2025.

The cutting-edge space offers members the best fitness equipment available. A standout aspect of this site is the accessibility focus, a key aspect during the gym's design, as it was essential to make the site accessible to as many people from the community as possible.

THE SOLUTION:

Leisure at Cheltenham wanted to raise the game when it came to building a new fitness space. They wanted to go bigger but also factor in the accessibility aspects sometimes not considered. They wanted a premium space for all members, where everyone could achieve their fitness goals.

The site boasts various modern gym equipment suitable for various individuals. Numerous strength machines were included, such as the new Impulse ECP Seated Row and Hack Squat. It also features a range of strength equipment, including the 5 Stack Multi Station and Performance Series Half Racks

No expense was spared to make sure that the site was stocked with versatile equipment. Many top-of-the-range Impulse strength machines were included, including the Origin GHD Machine. The all-black colour choice gives the space a sleek, modern vibe.

Adding a touch of colour to the space, our brightly coloured Urethane Bumper Plates really pop in the space.  When our brand ambassador, Ben Fox, came to see the site himself, he said that seeing this type of equipment would entice members to come back to train again and again.

Accessibility was an important aspect of the project, so we invited our brand ambassador and GB athlete, Ben Fox, to see the space. The equipment at this site closely matched the equipment we supplied for him to help with his training, which he found to make a real difference in helping him perform better on the court.

We caught up with Ben during his time training at the facility. Find out what he had to say about the project below:

Impulse high-tech cardio equipment was also installed, including the new 970 series treadmills, ellipticals, and upright and recumbent bikes. Origin Storm Series Air Bike, Ski Traner, and Rower were also included.

Custom gym flooring was another highlight at this site, featuring logo and branding on the flooring, providing a stylish-looking sprint track option on site. We also helped install premium and high-impact gym flooring (check both) that is suitable for a wide range of exercises and use cases.

The modular configuration found in the site includes a range of functional equipment well suited to the various training needs of users. The flat wall storage solution has enough space to hold multiple wall balls, slam balls, and boxing equipment.

THE OUTCOME

Leisure at Cheltenham is in a strong position to support new members in achieving their fitness goals in 2025. Top-of-the-range equipment and a new layout make the space even more appealing to old and new members alike. With a focus on accessibility, the site is now ready to support everyone in the local community. (edit)
