Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of a home gym?
  • Convenience - owning a home gym reduces the reliance on gyms being open when you want to train and there's no need to factor in travel time!
  • Get a full workout without interuptions - no more waiting to use equipment in busy gyms.
  • A dedicated space - create a personalised space tailored to your training goals
  • Cost savings - despite the initial investment, having a home gym will save you on membership fees for years to come
  • Cleanliness - with a home gym, it becomes a lot easier to keep your environment as clean (or messy!) as you like.
  • Lifestyle - with a gym integrated into your living space, it becomes easier to form healthy habits and stick to a workout plan
How much space do I need for a home gym?

The honest answer is: less than you think. A 2m² mat area is enough to stretch, do yoga, or smash a bodyweight session. Add a cardio machine and you're looking at around 3m² per piece of kit - enough to move freely and stay safe. If free weights or a rack are on your wishlist, aim for 10m² or more to give yourself room to lift properly.

One thing people often overlook: ceiling height. Overhead presses, squats, and jumping movements all need vertical clearance - so before you plan anything, look up.

Not sure if your space measures up? That's exactly what we're here for.

What flooring do I need for a home gym?

Choice of flooring will depend on a number of factors such as where your home gym is based (in a garage, in an upstairs spare room), what equipment you choose and your budget. Our flooring tiles are a popular choice to protect your sub floor, reduce noise and protect your equipment.

What gym equipment do I need for a home gym?

It's completely up to you, and your preferred training style. We have had customers who have had a full home cardio space, studio spaces and free weight training spaces (or a mixture of all the above). We work with you to tailor equipment choices to your desired outcome.
