THE CHALLENGE:
The Energym Team had set a goal in mind: To create a gym that would impress from the moment you walked in and to deliver a space for all types of members and their training needs, allowing them to be able to push themselves to their limits.
The owners envisioned a unique gym concept utilising a combination of the highest quality of equipment, gym design, interior design and lighting.
The concept that the owners presented to us was certainly demanding, but with around 18,000 square feet to bring this vision to life, they worked alongside our Product Development Team to deliver seven key training zones that included the biggest Elite Series Rig that we’ve ever made.
THE SOLUTION:
Functional:
After working with the team to produce various sketches and rig designs, we delivered what Energym was looking for to stand out from other gyms in the surrounding area; A huge 33 meters long (Equivalent to 3 London Buses) Elite Rig, with 3 zones (Lifting zone, Boxing zone, storage zone) housing:
4200kg of Bumper Plates
At 33m x 8m, this massive rig challenges the normal concept of a functional area and takes it to the next level. With the flexibility of the different zones, members can create a complete session and due to the various storage zones found within the Elite Series Rig all the accessories and equipment that members could need can be found within reach.
A 18m x 4m turf area was also installed to partner the rig, which works as both functional training space and for sled work.
Free Weights
To support the 20 squat stations, we have installed 29 Multi Adjustable Benches, which are paired nicely with our Custom Branded UD2 Dumbbells, Origin Smith Machine and Origin Hack Squat/Leg Press. These products are the perfect combination for free weight and strength and conditioning training.
Strength and Cables
Our Origin 8 Stack Multi Station and Origin Adjustable Pulley. has been installed to cover the cable provision. There are also 34 fixed stations made up of Impulse Exoform and Sterling plate-loaded machines.
Cardio
A dedicated cardio zone utilising the Impulse 700 Series was selected to give members the best option for their traditional cardio training with 6 units delivering the HIIT cardio stations.
Flooring
Along with all the equipment,, we have installed our Origin 20mm Premium Tile and 40mm High Impact Tile across the entire gym to not only support the different training zones, and protect the equipment and sub-floor from damage, but also to denote walkways.
THE OUTCOME:
From their opening day, Energym has thrived. They continue to welcome new members who are impressed not just by the quality of the equipment but the visually pleasing aspect of the gym.
