Apprenticeships with Origin Fitness

Origin Fitness has been offering apprenticeships for over five years now. Apprenticeships have shown to be an excellent way for young people to get their feet wet in the workforce. It’s brilliant to see our apprentices grow and develop, both in their roles and as people. 

Not every apprenticeship is the same. We tailor the agencies that we use and the apprenticeships we offer to best suit the role being filled. For example administrative roles, we recruit a number of candidates through RT-L Training.  This allows all apprentices to complete their Business Administration qualification, which then aids them within their role here at Origin. 

We currently have eight apprentices going through their qualifications which will lead to further opportunities and progression within their department. Apprenticeships are great opportunities as it not only offers hands-on experience but also allows young people to come straight into a career-driven environment. Giving them a head start at their future careers. 

Apprenticeship Progression

Origin Fitness has employed over twenty apprentices who have gone on to full-time careers within our company and others. Take a look at Hannah, one of the first to uptake an apprenticeship with Origin Fitness. She joined in early 2017 to progress a career within Sales. Keen to learn on the job and progress her career at the same time, Hannah took on an apprenticeship with QA studying Digital Applications.

ThShe was able to advance professionally and personally as a result of the apprenticeship, which led to a promotion. Working in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere and managing her time to fulfil assignments. This has allowed her to flourish as a person as much as it has within her career.  

Hannahs first role within Origin Fitness was Key Account Apprentice. Her main responsibilities included day to day admin, smaller enquiries and having a full understanding of the sales process. After 6 months, Hannah completed her apprenticeship allowing her to progress to a new role, where she gained further responsibilities.  

Fast forward to now, Hannah is now Account Manager for clients such as Nuffield Health, 3D Leisure and student accommodation sites. Her daily tasks involve site visits, gym design and overseeing installations throughout the UK. Hannah is also responsible for passing on her knowledge and helping train the current apprentices within her team.
