Origin Fitness Provides Equipment for New Gymshark Mobile App

Origin Fitness is delighted to announce that over the past 12 months our fitness equipment has been used by Gymshark in the creation of training content for their much-anticipated Gymshark app.

Founded in 2012 by Ben Francis, Gymshark is now regarded as one of the most influential brands in fitness, is considered the fastest-growing sportswear brand in the world as well as being one of the UK’s fastest-growing businesses.

Inside the Gymshark App

The Gymshark App includes detailed training programmes from a range Gymshark’s Athletes including David Laid, Nikki Blackketter and Obi Vincent.

The app also features comprehensive movement demonstrations and detailed coaching points as part of a huge exercise library.

Origin Fitness helps create Gymshark App

Origin Fitness were engaged in 2018 to work with the team at Gymshark on the creation of a fully equipped gym space to serve as an App Studio. This space is located at the GSHQ building in Solihull is where most of the content for the app has been created over the past twelve months.

The team at Origin Fitness provided the gym design support for the space as well as equipping the facility fully prior to content creation.

“The space was very unique in terms of how it was going to be used,” said Harry Russell (Account Manager at Origin Fitness). “When compared to a regular operational gym, there were a range of factors we had to take into consideration due to the space being primarily a location for photo and video shoots.”

Equipment Origin Fitness supplied for the Gymshark App covers a wide range of CV and resistance, free weights, functional and high intensity products. Most of this equipment was customised to align to the Gymshark branding and the overall style the team wanted to achieve in the app content.
